2nd Place in the State for SkillsUSA!

This past week our game design program sent 3 teams to compete at the state level for SkillsUSA in Jacksonville, Florida. We are proud to announce that one of our teams came in 2nd place in the state. Well done Hornets!

Welcome to the WWHS Game Design Program

Intro to Game Design

This first year course opens the door with game design principles including coding, introduction to 2D and 3D game design, web design and more!

Game & Sim Design 1

2nd year students will expand upon their 2D and 3D game design knowledge by introducing Unity and Unreal game design engines.

Game & Sim Design 2

3rd year students will show expertise in game design, focusing on story-line integration, advanced controls and porting to PC and consoles.

Game & Sim Capstone

This 4th year program is the advanced section. Promoting students to develop games for PC, console and VR. Students will orchestrate a complete game along with artwork and coding samples to accompany their portfolio/resume.

1st annual Game Jam

Congratulations to our winners GAME NIGHT for taking 1st place in our Weeki Wachee Game Jam. The students from Game Night will represent Weeki Wachee High School at the district FBLA competition December 10th. Thank you to all who participated and to our sponsors!

Recently students Z. Lawton and T. Moody had the opportunity to blend their game design skills with their Marine Biology class creating a physical diorama of an aquatic ecosystem.
